Intellect of Man: Brain or Soul? (New Christian Idea)

Materialists teach that the intellect of a man is located in the brain, religions (including Christianity) teach that intellect of man is in soul or spirit which can be separated from the body. Who of the two is right, what is scientifically proved?

Both positions are scientifically proved:

  • That a man thinks with brain is proved by the fact that a brain damage often makes a man stupid and/or immoral (or changes his personality in some other way, sometimes even reversely making him a genius) plus the fact that certain brain zones are activated when a man thinks or feels certain things.
  • That man has soul or spirit is proved by confirmed after-death experienced where a man travels into an other city where he is in a clinic death and tells what he has seen there. Also this is proved by numerous anomal and extrasensoric evidences and by confirmed visions of ghosts.

Think about this and you will have a brain damages also :) Proved are both opposites!

But recently I found what seems the key to solve this contradiction.

My theory is: Soul is the insurance for body (including brain as a part of the body). That is I mean that the word soul (Greek PSYXH) in New Testament means insurance or warranty for body.

[More:]

I mean insurance. Like costly robots would be, our bodies are insured by heavenly legal system, we are purchased with a warranty.

Insurance means that when a thing is broken and it cannot be repaired then there will be no loss indeed. So warranty despite of being immaterial is a very important part of a robot.

Lo! We are taught that we have eternal, immaterial soul, which is separate from body and continues to exists after death of body. It is quite logical if this means: we have eternal insurance (insurance is immaterial). We have eternal warranty (that we will live forever and never die and that we will be healthy). So God will resurrect us if we die.

This can be compared to human legal system where if I would be insured for a damage for a big enough sum, I would have no reason to worry about this damage. The possibility of a damage exists but it does not matter. Likewise the possibility for brain damage for a Christian may exist, but this does not matter, God is infinitely rich and can pay for repairing even so complex robots as our bodies, and for Him this sum means nothing.

How much a human body would cost? I think it would be not less than 10000 times more than all economical resources of the mankind! Even until now people cannot build a robot which does even so simple things as to drive a car like people themselves can do.
(Mr. 8:36-37) 36 For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet damage his soul? 37 Or what shall a man give as an exchange for his soul?

When a Christian dies, his backup is made like as for a computer program and he continues to exist and to think, warrantely.

If during life the brain misfunctions (actually brains of anybody of us very much misfunctions, as we are all sinners), God corrects the behavior of a man directing him from the heaven.

One more similarity of soul and insurance is that who tries to gain his insurance (e.g. by artificial damaging a thing) reversely loses the insurance:
(Mr. 8:35) For whoever desires to save his soul, he shall lose it. But whoever shall lose his soul for My sake and the gospel, that one shall save it. (We do not lose insurance if we need to damage a thing for an important good deal.)

Certainly the so called ghosts, astral projections etc. also exists. But these things are not soul itself but are just means by which soul exists, that is the means by which heavens fulfill the warranty. And the means of accomplishment of a warranty are not important; for example, an astral body or ghost may die but this does not mean that our person would cease to exist, God anyway will save us (probably by other means and in an other form of existence) as He has promised.

But we gain more than we may lose as the procedure of the insurance is more clever than our brains themselves. Bible says that we have mind of Christ!

But salvation of soul (which if my theory is right is just eternal salvation of body, no more) is not all to which God has called us. God has called us to be His children, to eternal development high above human form and human mode of mind, living in heavens.

Get your free eternal insurance. Just confess to God that you are a sinner and need to be repaired in Christ who has paid for you by His blood. Amen.

Scientific method and life after death
I recently realized that scientific method is not applicable to near-death and after-death experiences! When we attempt to apply scientific method to it, scientific method produces a clear mistake.

Scientific method in its essence is based on the pr...
