Sigmund Freud mistaken in many things, but his main idea that people's mind is split into two parts, conscience and non-conscious, is certainly right.
However to this idea of Freud should be added:

Human mind can be split into conscience and non-conscious in several different ways. And to every this variant the basic principle of Freud's theory apply (well, these of that principles which are not mistakes):
- The first kind of non-conscious is the things which we forget. I mean these things which we do otherwise quite consciously but more or less quickly forget that we have done them. To these things ideas of Freud about under-conscious apply as well. But if these things are in some way fixed in the memory immediately, they become belonging to conscience rather than unconscious.
- The second kind of under-conscious is the thoughts of lower parts of the brain.
- The third kind is heart. I mean literal heat, through which the blood goes. The cells of blood are rather clever. I believe (based on Bible teaching) that they like neurones in brain form so to say second brain, fluid brain. (While going through the heart the cells may be connected with each other through radio waves inside the heart, and also chemically.) I even believe that the calculation power of heart is much above than of the brain. (However Bible tells that the heart is the most damaged organ of a sinner, it does not work well.)
- (I believe that there are also several other kinds of non-conscious, especially related with soul, spirit, mysteries, etc.)
