[Firefox extension] Hypertext DOM Browser

Hypertext DOM Browser is a new Firefox extension. You can browse hyperlinked DOM objects just like a normal Web site. It is a tool for Web developers and Firefox Developers. Features...

[More:]

Also it can be used as a JavaScript calculator.

The first version 1.0 is released today.

It is s production beta release. The main bug is that setting content.document.location property causes a 64Mb computer to almost hang with swapping. (You can however click Stop in a dialog box which appears after several seconds to rescue.)

It was tested with Firefox 1.5 RC3. (It should also work with other versions of Firefox.) It does not work with Seamonkey in an unknown reason.

It can be easily ported to other browsers, even Internet Explorer.

Enjoy the convenience of browsing DOM just like a normal Web site!

Currently it uses the standard navigator frame. However it should be developed a special purpose XUL frame for this extension. Ideally, there should be base class for different kinds of browser frames (navigator, help, DOM browsers, etc.) That is we need a basic frame which could be the base for browser navigator frame, then the navigator frame (browser.xul) could be its overlay, as well as my DOM browser frame, and Firefox Help frame. I recommend to do it so in a future version of Mozilla Firefox (2.0 or earlier).
