MetaTags sidebar for Firefox 1.5 - version 2.2.1 released

Released version 2.2.1 of MetaTags sidebar for Firefox 1.5 Web browser. This sidebar shows page meta-information (such as keywords). It also provides extensible search engine submission and Web services menu. Every Web master needs this!

The current version also has additional features for What's related browsing. Also try right click on keywords.

  • Supports HTML, XHTML, some XML
    and other document types.
  • Displayed information:
    • Metatags (keywords, description, etc.)
    • Links (including stylesheets, shows link MIME type,
      direction, language, and also link titles in tooltips).
    • Title
    • Document language (accordingly xml:lang, lang
      attributes, and <meta name="Content-Language">
      element).
    • Base and base folder of the document.
    • MIME type and charset.
    • DTD, root tag,
      and XML namespace of the document.
    • Last modification time.
    • Referrer.
    • Whether the browser is in strict error checking mode.
    • Other.
  • Keywords features:
    • Keywords are numbered.
    • Warns about duplicate keyword phrases (marks them with red color).
    • Context menu for keywords. Has submenu to search the keyword with
      a search engine.
  • Search engine submission:
    • Extensible menu for automatic submission to search engines and
      SEO services.
    • Forms are filled automatically, based on document metadata.
  • Related links (by Alexa and Amazon) and other Web services.
  • Tabbed browsing:
    • Links can be configured to be opened in the same window, new window, or
      new tab.
    • Web services (such as SEO
      submission) can be configured to be opened in the new window or
      new tab.
  • Visually marks these meta tags which are http-equiv (intended to
    be used as HTTP headers).
  • Browser context menu for links in the sidebar. (Among other, it allows
    to copy URLs of the links to clipboard.)
  • Menu in the sidebar and in browser's Tools menu.
  • Integrated with Live HTTP Headers Firefox extension.
  • Watches currently loaded Web page and automatically updates the sidebar.
  • Integration with Web services:
    • Alexa/Amazon What's Related;
    • search engines submit and
      SEO services;
    • Furl.net keywords tagged Web bookmarks;
    • search engines.
  • Is called out by a shortcut key.
  • URLs are shown in the browser statusbar (on mouse over).
