Mouse cursor moving without moving mouse

Without help of human hands the mouse cursor was slowly traversing through the screen leftwards.

[More:]

This has happened on Linux 2.6.15.4 running X11 version X.org 6.9.0 directly using /dev/psaux (PS/2 mouse port) through PnP-detected mouse protocol ExplorerPS/2 with an optical mice.

X11 developers you should fix this bug. (BTW, it could prevent X screensaver and monitor DPMS power off, etc. forever.) That is you should completely ignore very slow movements (what is very slow should be user-configurable) of the mouse.

However probably it is hardware bug in the optical PS/2 mouse where is written COLORic on the top and was written Made in China before I has thorn out the sheet with this writing.
