Virtual FIlesystems are put in CVS

C++ Virtual Filesystems (including FTP Filesystem) package is put into a CVS repository at gnu.org.

The initial version 0.3.3 in CVS is non-functional and even not compilable. You can contact me if you are a skilled C++ programmer and want to participate in development of Virtual Filesystems.

Kernel level chroot for non-root processes?

I suggest the following feature for Linux kernel: We could allow chroot() not only for root (
uid==0
) processes, but also for any process which has
LD_PRELOAD
environment variable set to a non-empty string. [...] Read more!
